OK, let’s just get it out of the way: We’ve gone to the dogs. Lots of us sail with our canine buddies (and feline too!), but Christopher Birch admits that sailing and cruising his 36-foot Morris Justine would be a heckuva lot easier without Bill, his aged standard poodle who suffers from wobbly legs and certain toileting issues. It would also be hugely more boring.
